At age 4, Ali received a cochlear implant from UI Health's Otolaryngologists due to Usher's syndrome. This footage was shot when he was 5 years old (2.5 years after the implant) and when he revisited our clinic with his family at age 27.

Luckily we recorded interviews with new cochlear implant users between 2000 and 2002. Now it is a decade later and they reminisce about their entire experience. We love to see our patients so happy.
