Today I am going to show you how we can achieve the remote data source form the Typeahead plugin by Twitter Bootstrap.

We are going to download the version (2.1.1) or later, depending on viewing time and use the newly built in function that Bootstrap has implemented to connect to a remote (PHP and MySQL) data source to return our results.

AJAX will be used to send the query from the typeahead plugin to the PHP file, once we have the query in the PHP file, we will connect to the database and search for anything that is similar and add it to an array.

We will then return this array as a JSON array so that the Typeahead plugin can process the data and display the results with the correct highlighting.
