Really only for documentary's sake...this is just a static view of the Volcano Tank with one or two zoom-ins on interesting things. More for the die-hard fans of the Volcano Tank.

(Updated: as per my comments below, the tangs were temporary and made it into a 450 gallon 7' ddep tank as planned)

(Answers: no, the wood will not be ruined by evaporation as it is open top and no condensation is pooled anywhere, it does lose a ton of water which is why I have an auto refill sump. All the plumbing is outside so the lightning ballasts, chiller, pumps, etc are in a rubbermaid container. No the fish don't jump out because I chose fish carefully. The lionfish passed away after 1 year and everything else is alive and well. Well, except for one plate coral.)

See www.konolua.com for more details.

Hope you enjoy it....very nice to relax to. This is exactly what I stare at for hours a day!

THE VOLCANO:
75 gallon, custom designed reef tank built with exposed rock structure extending over 1 out of the water. There are three waterfall spigots, one on the left of the Volcano filling a small rock basin, and two on the right creating a run off into the water.

Take a look at Konolua.com for more details and follow the life of the Volcano Tank!
