How fast is a YZ450F motocross bike? Today we find out.

The bike is stock in terms of engine and power. This is a 2013 year model which does have plenty poke.

As I'm only just over 70kg the front wheel was picking up until 3rd gear even hanging way over the front so there was a lot of clutch slip. It was (sort of) surprising how much longer it took to get to 100ks on the dirt, eventhough it actually feels faster! I wouldnt mind putting a decent tyre on the back and doing the test on a proper MX start track with loamy soil rather than the dusty sand we had on this day. If youd like to see that, let us know!
