This instructional video shows a polypectomy procedure using various Olympus products. The first part of the video shows biopsy forceps taking tissue for pathologic assessment. A large pedunculated polyp is removed in the second portion of the video. The Olympus Polyloop is placed to ligate the large vessel in the stalk of the polyp and minimize the risk of bleeding after it has been removed. A SnareMaster Oval Snare is then used to remove the polyp using electric current. Olympus offers a wide variety of forceps and snares to meet the needs of customers. This educational program is not designed to replace the information in the “Instruction for Use” (IFU) that accompanied the device when it was purchased. All material in the IFU should be reviewed prior to operating the device.
