VIDEO SUMMARY
HELPFUL SKIN CARE ADVICE on how to identify your skin type. We cover the different skin types out there and explain their differences so you can determine your skin type. This will help you effectively treat your skin so it is always perfect, clear, and radiant.
00:00 Everyone’s Skin Is Different
Because everyone has a different skin type, everybody needs varying products with specific ingredients to treat their skin. That said, what works for a friend, sibling, or family member might not necessarily work for you. It is important to have your own skin care regimen and to be consistent with it.
00:44 Oily Skin
People with oily skin have a heightened production of sebum, which is known as seborrhea, which causes more oil on the skin and especially on the face. People with an oily skin type tend to have larger, more visible pores as well which can cause more oil to rise to the surface, as well as become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. 01:15 Dry Skin
Whereas oily skin is primarily hereditary, dry skin, known as xeroderma, is typically the result of one’s lack of hydration, a dry climate or environment or even swimming too often. Studies have also found that UV radiation can be the cause of dry skin, for it harms the outer layer of skin which leads to dryness and cracking. 02:11 Combination Skin
Those with combination skin have both oily and dry skin, typically dry in the winter and oily in the summer. However, some people suffer from both at the same time, having oily skin on the forehead and nose while having dry patches on the cheeks. Oil production is typically higher on the forehead, nose, and chin area, so this makes sense. 03:15 Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin doesn’t have to do with oily skin or dry patches. Instead, someone with sensitive skin will experience inflamed skin which results in red, itchy skin caused by fragrances or harsh chemicals. Skin care products with cucumber, such as Tiege Hanley, can soothe irritated skin due to the antioxidants.
04:00 Finding Those Products
As mentioned in the beginning, you need to find what products work for you. Tiege Hanley has mastered the men’s skin care routine and made it simple for every guy to implement into their everyday life. With a face wash and exfoliating scrub to keep your skin clear and clean your pores of oil, a morning and nighttime moisturizer to hydrate your skin and combat dryness and products 100% free of fragrances and harsh chemicals, your skin is covered no matter which type you have.
