Yorkshire Classic MCC Championship Rnd 9 - Skyraikes CH9 15 10 22

Round 9 of the Yorkshire Classic MCC Club Championship held at the excellent Skyraikes, Skipton venue on Sunday the 16th Oct 2022. Big thanks to Malcolm Dennis for the footage and to Steve Rayner for compiling the 50 plus clips into 1.
The weather was cool and a bit windy (must have been yesterday's beans) but the sun warmed the assembled riders, spectators and officials to make a pleasant day out in the pennines.
John Maxfield and Andrew Dean plotted the 10 sections in horizontal rain on Friday the filled the bogs and made the going a bit slippery.
Jimmy Noble riding Duncan Macdonald's superb Ariel came out on top of the Premier class standings losing a solitary mark on rocks of section 3. Tony Calvert and Paul Dennis both lost 3 on their Cubs with Tony taking the tie break on the older rider rule.
On the Intermediate (50/50) route Dale Harrison took the honours losing 19 marks, 4 ahead of Steve Culf both on their Bantams.
Four riders went clear on the Clubman route with Steve Gossop (Ariel) having another great ride along with Steve Thomas (Bantam), the rapidly improving Paul Charnley on his almost original Cub and Mark Walker.
Just one more Championship round to go at Keighley Gate on the 20th November.
