L'aéroport international de Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (code IATA : LYS • code OACI : LFLL), anciennement dénommé aéroport de Lyon-Satolas (jusqu'en 2000), est un aéroport international français situé sur la commune de Colombier-Saugnieu à 25 km à l'est de Lyon, dans le département du Rhône. Date d’ouverture le 12 avril 1975.

Avec 11 739 600 passagers en 2019, il se classe comme le quatrième aéroport français derrière ceux de Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, Paris-Orly et Nice-Côte d'Azur. Sa gestion est assurée par la société Aéroports de Lyon.

L'aéroport s'étend sur 2 000 ha, dont 900 ha de réserves foncières. Il est situé sur les communes de Colombier-Saugnieu (majoritairement), Pusignan, Genas et Saint-Laurent-de-Mure. L'aéroport profite de la situation de la région lyonnaise, carrefour historique entre les vallées du Rhône et de la Saône, et de sa proximité avec la Suisse et l'Italie.


Lyon-Saint-Exupéry international airport (IATA code: LYS • ICAO code: LFLL), formerly called Lyon-Satolas airport (until 2000), is a French international airport located in the commune of Colombier-Saugnieu, 25 km east of Lyon, in the Rhône department. Opening date April 12, 1975.

With 11,739,600 passengers in 2019, it ranks as the fourth French airport behind those of Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Nice-Côte d’Azur. Its management is ensured by the Aéroports de Lyon company.

The airport covers 2,000 ha, including 900 ha of land reserves. It is located in the communes of Colombier-Saugnieu (mainly), Pusignan, Genas and Saint-Laurent-de-Mure. The airport benefits from the location of the Lyon region, a historic crossroads between the Rhône valleys and the Saône, and its proximity to Switzerland and Italy.
