History of Pakistan | Who was Sikandar Mirza? |Mir Jafar great Grandson (First President)|
Sikandar Mirza was the first Pakistani President. He was the great grandson of Mir Jafar, who is known as symol of disloyalty in Asia. Sikandar Mirza's image is viewed negatively in history of Pakistan by many historians. According to some historians, he was responsible for weakening of democracy and political instability in the country. Most of the prime ministers in Pakistan's history were changed one after another in presidential era of Sikandar Mirza. He was dismissed by General Ayub Khan in 1958, the same year when he (Sikandar Mirza) imposed martial law in 1958. He died in November 1969 in London and buried in Iran. Before death he lived a poor life, according to some historical sources, he worked as a waiter in a hotel there.
