Forging Box Jaw Blacksmithing Tongs (Tools & Process, Ep. 2)

Описание к видео Forging Box Jaw Blacksmithing Tongs (Tools & Process, Ep. 2)

I am forging box jaw blacksmithing tongs using only minimal tools. This is only tangentially related to swordsmithing but I like to use box jaw tongs for holding on the tongs of knives and swords, especially when heat treating. This would be a good blacksmithing for beginners project. In fact, forging tongs was one of the very early skills I learned.

Materials: 2x 16in long bar of 3/4in x 1/2in mild steel.
Tools used: Hammer, Anvil with Step, Hot Chisel, Hole Punch and Set Hammer.
