Fishing Otter Creek Reservoir, Summer (July), Utah

Is the fishing good in the middle of summer on Otter Creek Reservoir? We decided to find out!
Heading out on a hot early July day, we began by trolling in the morning. We tried middle of the reservoir and shoreline without much success. Next we moved to drift fishing with bait and finally anchoring off a point when the wind came up. Using power bait, we had a bit of action but still pretty slow.
Finally we just decided to stick with trolling Ratltraps into the afternoon and that ended up being the most successful approach! Can't wait to get back to Otter Creek in some cooler weather.
