We’re a well established and close-knit family business, with five decades of experience. It’s our aim to make self storage as secure, easy and convenient as possible for our customers – all with a friendly Yorkshire welcome.

Your Security is Our Priority
We often get asked if self storage units are secure. Rest assured, at McCarthy’s it’s our number one priority. We make sure we use state-of-the-art technology to monitor the site, day and night. Entry to the building is via unique pin code and only you have the key (or code) to your individual self storage unit. Your unit is your space, and it’s there to be used as an extension to your home, garage, office or workplace, to help make your life that little bit easier.

Personal and Business Self Storage
We have a good mix of personal and business users at our Leeds storage centre. Business customers may use it as extra storage space, a workshop, or a document archive. Why take out costly office space, if all you really need is storage? Online traders and entrepreneurs may want to use our self storage as a location for their ‘pick and pack’ operation, instead of having their spare room or garage taken over with stock. We can even provide an internet connection and electrical outlets for our self storage units to make it a more comfortable place to work.

Personal self storage customers may be moving house, downsizing, undertaking renovations at home, or converting their loft or garage into extra living space. Or perhaps you’re a student looking for somewhere to store belongings whilst you’re out of town. Whatever your reason, if you need extra room, McCarthy’s can help.

Easy to find – And Park
We’re located just outside Leeds City centre, with lots of free parking. We even have handy drive-up self storage units, where you can pull straight up in your vehicle for loading and unloading. In our main self storage facility, we have lifts, pallet trucks and trolleys to help make moving your items as easy as possible.

You’re free to come and go as you please – we understand everyone has busy lives and we aim to be as flexible as possible for our customers.

We Always Go The Extra Mile
If you need to have items delivered to your self storage unit, we’re happy to accept them on your behalf during office hours. We can keep them safe for you until your next visit – meaning you don’t have to worry about being in two places at once.

And our handy on-site shop sells everything you might need to help with your self storage space, from boxes and biodegradable bubble wrap, to extra strong tape and sofa and mattress covers.

We have self storage units ranging in size from a locker to a double garage and large bespoke units up to 1000 square feet. (and anything in between), so we’ll be able to find a self storage unit to meet your needs. And if you find after moving in that it’s too big or too small for you, we have more than 20 different room sizes to make sure we have the perfect space for your needs.
