Year 2021 witnessed the overall assets under management of Hong Kong's wealth management industry totalling more than US$4.6 trillion, whereas 65% of them were sourced outside Hong Kong. A number of initiatives, including Limited Partnership Funds (“LPF”), Carried Interest Tax Regime, and Open-ended Fund Companies (“OFC”) structure, designed to boost Hong Kong’s appeal to PE and VC funds, have been launched to promote Hong Kong as Asia Pacific’s leading asset management hub. This webinar examined the benefits of these initiatives and discussed the opportunities rising in the asset and wealth management industry in Hong Kong and Asia.
