Hump Removal with Piezo Ultrasonic! / Op. Dr. Levent Aydar

Dorsal humps are cartilage and bone irregularities on the nose. These irregularities can cause a bump or “hump” in the outline of a person’s nose, instead of a straight slope from the bridge of the nose to the tip.

Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty is also known as piezosurgery. The piezotome tool is used in Rhinoplasty surgery to precisely sculpt the nasal bones without creating any trauma to the surrounding tissues. It can also result in less bruising and swelling since the piezo specifically targets bones. The soft tissues of the nose are not traumatized. In this video a piezo rasp is being used to shave down and remove/sculpt a nasal hump. This will achieve a smooth nasal dorsum utilizing Piezosurgery.
