I Wanna Be the Guy Remastered Any% Speedrun

This will probably be the first and only run that ever gets world record using the tetris skip first route. The advantage of this route is obvious, you get to do tetris skip, post wily, and slow room skip as early as possible in the run. The negatives of this route are you pretty much need to play it safe in the mike tyson and birdo splits in order to ensure you don't lose the run. This means the tetris first route loses about 3-5 seconds depending on how safe you play it compared to the normal route.

Despite that handicap, I managed to clutch out a god run using this route, and I've finally achieved my goal for the year of getting a 21:3X. This run completely blew me away, and the only death in the run lost about 2.5 seconds in the bowser room. This run was beautiful, and I'm really proud that I was able to clutch up when it mattered.

So what's left to be done you might ask. A new timesave was recently discovered by Kaurosu, and it has yet to be optimized and implemented. We have no idea how much this timesave could be still, and I plan on learning it to the best of my ability. If it saves as much as I hope it does, then I will go for 21:2X. A time that I previously thought impossible, but the community around this game continues to push for better and better optimization.
