Ingredients for Masala Fish Curry:
Tomatoes - 4 large
Onions - 1 + 1/2 medium size
Green chillies - 5
Garlic - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1 inch
Yellow mustard - 1 tsp
Star anise - 2
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Fresh Coconut - 2 tbsp chopped and peeled
Fresh coconut water - 1/2 cup

Surmai Fish - 1 kg
Lemon Juice of 2 lemons
Salt - to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

Mustard oil - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Kashmiri chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Degi mirch powder ( spicy ) - 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Hot water - as required
Coriander leaves - a few
Tamarind Water - 1/2 cup
Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
