I do like to work together with Matei Georgescu and that is the reason he has been present to the most important events branded Patron-X that we have hosted!
Beyond the friendship we have, I admire and respect him as a psychotherapist. He has helped me enormously through his professional conduct and the work experience he has gained after working with, literally, crowds of people (as he is a professor too, apart from being a psychotherapist).
I have succeeded to offer support and information regarding personal development, psychology and psychotherapy thanks to his interventions too – thus allowing the participants to share all the advantages we guaranteed when promoting the events.
And since we never exhaust the topics for discussion and I feel he heals me through all this talk, I have invited him once more – like in a therapy session – in this episode.
00:00-03:09 Why do we want to look sexy and be seen as good-looking?
One of the reasons we wish to be attractive and be seen as good-looking is we want to be accepted, welcome and loved. The more we wish to look good and we focus on the outer looks, the more we fear rejection – as we have been taught since childhood.
This thing happens because we are actually a collection of events we have assimilated and accepted, that forged our way of thinking and feeling.
03:10-07:15 Why the unconscious are the most vocal mentors and advisors for
others than them?
The most simple answer is that they are not aware of their pain and their limits so as to accept them. The more they suffered, the more they closed within themselves, clogged their suffering and refused to admit it and they shifted their attention towards the exterior, towards those around them. With vanity and compensatory pride.
07:16-25:25 The way from pride to humility
First of all, in order to speak about a path towards change, we must define the terms clearly. You first learn what is trauma, humility and pride.
Where does the vanity come from and why is it a trace of pain and trauma and why the vanity is based on huge internal emptiness? You also learn how to practice humility – how to go out of the competition and why the society we live in is thoroughly traumatized – while the competition it promotes is the clearest sign?
The notion of cerebral frequency explains the way we can come out of the loop, how to tame our mind and how to balance ourselves internally in order to heal. The body is the closest instrument we have to heal the traumas that lead to pride and vanity – but we need to stop the rat race.
25:26-42:46 The self-appraisal and the narcissism – what are they and where do they come from?
Although reasons are hard to establish, we can see that good deeds (altruism, encouragement to flourish the good through personal example) are
therapeutic.
42:47-53:53 The source of the need to be different
The need to be different is continuous and we never feel good enough, we never honor our being and we never accept us the way we are in the present.
We forget to wonder at the human body, at what we have, at what we live and we are never grateful for anything. We no longer allow ourselves to be amazed, to meditate, to contemplate. Why? Because we live our life on a cerebral frequency that generates negative and unproductive emotions – as well as diseases.
The solution is to stop in order to find ourselves again. To be grateful for all and everything NOW.
