Here is my newest AMV for a very underappreciated game: Dead Space. Dead Space is a sci-fi survival horror set on a remote mining facility in the future. Answering a distress call, your ship is en route to said mining facility when it crashes, stranding you there. As you investigate, things go from worse to WTF! as you soon discover the station is overrun with an alien parasite that has killed off the crew and resurrected them as grotesque monsters.

Dead Space brought alot of innovation to the table, borrowing from both games (Metroid, Resident Evil) and movies (Event Horizon) while adding twists to popular theories on handling undead mutants (head shots only make things ten times worse) to create a unique experience. Unfortunately, EA's timing for its release could not be more poor: one week prior to the launch of Fable II. This absolute gem has gone overlooked by many as we now enter the cluster of fourth quarter releases, which is a crying shame considering this game is easily a candidate for one of the best games of 2008.

The music is another track from local band and acquantances of mine, The I.Z.A., titled "Aim for the Head". I used this track not only because it fit the rhythm of the game so well, but in the absolute irony of the song's key message. Because in Dead Space, aiming for the head will get you brutally killed.
