The Chasseral TV tower is located on the primary Jura ridge at 1607 meters above sea level. The mid-September thermals in the Jura mountains were weak at first, but offered 3300 meter cloud base and 5 m/s climb rates at the end of the day (near Lons-le-Saunier in France)
