Zen Headbutt/Thunder Mega Latias Duo Raid, No weather boost, No Relobby

Описание к видео Zen Headbutt/Thunder Mega Latias Duo Raid, No weather boost, No Relobby

The original plan was to complete this Duo Raid in old system, in which we would discuss how Palkia-Origin and Dialga-Origin performs differently from Shadow Dragonite and how that makes the Duo Raid becomes practically possible.

However, with raid system changed and Party Power fully fixed, honestly, there is no true difference between Pakia-Origin and Shadow Dragonite now. Thunder hits way slower now so it is not hard for Shadow Dragonite to dodge them by timing well, the more frequent attacks also closed the survivability gap between Palkia-Origin and Shadow Dragonite so they both can only hit 3 charged moves before they faint.

Dialga-Origin, in the other hand, mattered more to this raid as the anchor. With its Steel-typing, it can resists both of Mega Latias moves, which gives it long survivability throughout the raids. While the team should be able to survive through the whole raid without it, it is the fail save options where it can provide a little bit more TDO if invisible charged moves happened as well as other dodge failures.

One biggest difference with this raid and Mega Latias raid in old system would be Mega Rayquaza instead. With its Breaking Swipe being drastically buffed (1.2x DPE), it is now only slightly slower than Dragon Trio. In fact, even when compared to its main cannon - Dragon Ascent, Breaking Swipe is only 10% slower even under Party Power. Turn out, the buffs helped it a lot when fighting against Mega Latias such that it is no longer "a dead weight only there to provide Mega Boost". In the other hand, as shown in previous comparison video and this raid, Mega Rayquaza can also pick up leftovers Party Power energy from other members to further boost its performance. These changes/fixes to raid system surely helped Mega Rayquaza a lot when fighting alongside with Dragon Trio as a Dragon-type.

Overall, thanks to the fixed Party Power, this Duo Raid is honestly not exactly difficult, where it is done in the very first try. There are a lot unoptimized plays within the raid where Palkia-Origin is not switched out when it will not reach next Spacial Rend before it faints. Apart from that, there are also handful missdodges throughout the raids. In terms of the team used, Dialga-Origin was also only at Lv40. If Mega Latias has returned globally next time without boosted friendship bonus like this season, we would try it again with more difficult settings, e.g., without Origin formes.

There is only one final boss left now.
