📜 The Story:

In the early 1980s, both India and Pakistan sought control over Siachen Glacier—a freezing wasteland no one lived in.
Pakistan started sending mountaineering teams, attempting to stake its claim.
But India was watching… and planning.
On April 13, 1984, India launched Operation Meghdoot, a daring, high-risk military mission.
Indian soldiers, under extreme weather conditions, climbed the icy peaks and secured control before Pakistan could even react.
By the time Pakistan’s troops arrived, it was too late—India had already taken the high ground!
To this day, Siachen remains the world’s highest and most brutal battlefield.
