Did you know there are Jews in Zimbabwe? Learn about the Lemba community

Anthropologist Malka Shabtay and Dr. Rabson Wuriga, a professor and a leader of the Lemba Jewish community, join Emily Frances in studio to discuss the Lemba community in Zimbabwe. 


Dr. Wuriga shares the Jewish customs and the ancient history of the Lemba people, a diaspora community that traveled from Jerusalem to Yemen and ultimately ended up in Zimbabwe. He's also written a book about the customs and traditions of the Lemba Jews.
