CANTO 2023, a multilingual multicultural international travelling poetry festival, was held across New Delhi and Kolkata from 15th to 19th March 2023.

This session featured Joy Goswami, legendary Bengali poet, in conversation with Sampurna Chattarji, poet, novelist and translator of Joy Goswami’s poetry, where they delve into the mind and thought of this master poet of our times through poetry readings in the original Bengali and translations in English, alongside discussions on the act of writing poetry and the challenges of retaining the connotations and meaning of the original in translated poems.
