Legend of Spyro, unlike the original Spyro games, is a beat 'em up. Collecting gems is not a priority as they replenish your energy, flame etc... and you get nothing for collecting them all. In fact you don't have to do anything really, you can easily avoid the enemies and beat the game in less than an hour, but I chose to collect most of the gems and kill most of the enemies.

Is this supposed to be a prequel to the original series? Why does Spyro and Sparx look more human and less like a dragon and a dragonfly. So many questions. -
