As Mary sits at Jesus's feet, Martha finds herself “distracted by her many tasks” Luke chapter 10. Consumed by worry and anxiety, Martha demands that Jesus tell Mary to help her. Feeling justified, Martha receives an answer from Jesus she surely did not anticipate.

Whether you occasionally feel stressed or deal with an anxiety disorder, you can probably relate to Martha’s experience in Luke 10. Jesus was coming to her house, and she wanted everything to be perfect. Understandably, her worries about hosting Jesus spiraled into full-blown anxiety.
