About the Game:
Released alongside Star Wars Episode III in 2005, Star Wars Battlefront 2 was developed by Pandemic Studios and published by LucasArts as a sequel to 2004's Star Wars: Battlefront. The game was released for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 consoles, as well as the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and PC platforms. While certain aspects of the original Battlefront were brought over to the sequel, Battlefront 2 saw new features introduced such as new vehicles, playable Jedi/Sith, new characters, game mechanics, maps, and missions, along with a more streamlined narrative style campaign. A critical commercial success, Battlefront 2 has since become a beloved classic in the world of gaming.
A remastered compilation featuring both the game and its predecessor with additional content, titled Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, is set to be released March 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
