The Paramount Chief of Lango has called for the development of historical sites in the Lango region, noting that such initiatives could boost tourism.
He made these remarks during a visit from the newly elected clan head of Okarowok Bako, the Won Nyaci.

His Highness Yosam Odur Ebii, the Paramount Chief of Lango, expressed concern over the deteriorating state of historical sites in the Lango sub-region.
Among these important but underdeveloped sites are the Center of Uganda in Amolatar, Kangai in Dokolo District where Kabaka Mwanga and Kabalega were once hidden and arrested by the colonialists, the famous footprints on Ibuje Rock in Apac, and the Lango entry point at the border of Otuke and Abim District. While receiving the newly elected clan head of Okarowok Bako, the Won Nyaci, urged him to collaborate with other clan heads and the cabinet to ensure the development of these historical sites for the benefit of future generations. Byte
