The elephant nicknamed ‘Radhakrishnan’ that allegedly caused 12 human deaths over the last decade, was tranquillised and captured by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department on Tuesday (September 23, 2025) afternoon.

According to officials, the animal accused of a number of negative human-elephant interactions in the region was darted on Tuesday afternoon at Ellamalai in O’Valley and was boarded onto a truck with the help of kumki elephants.
