Your Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) Visit - What to Expect

Описание к видео Your Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) Visit - What to Expect

In this short video, we explain everything you need to know about Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACAT) and what happens when they visit.

The Australian Government’s My Aged Care will request that an ACAT team assess whether you are eligible for funding and the level of care that you qualify for.

An ACAT team may include a nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and a social worker. In most cases, the assessment will take place at your home, but you can also have the assessment at a hospital or another location, like a rehabilitation centre, if that's were you are. You can have a family member, friend or medical professional present and the assessment will usually take about an hour.

It can take up to 6 weeks to be assessed, however, in an emergency it's possible to get an assessment in as little as 48 hours.

Feros Care can assist with your referral to My Aged Care: don't hesitate to contact our aged care hotline on 1300 090 256. We can answer any questions you might have and can help organise services once you’ve been assessed. You can also request a referral through your GP or directly through My Aged Care.
