The Polar Express movie came out in November of 2004, and the Steam Railroading Institute ran the first of it's popular Christmas trains that year. In the early days, the trip ran up the former NYC route out of Owosso to the "North Pole" at the County Fairgrounds in Chesaning.

1. The 1225 & a short train head west at Cass St in Owosso with the TSBY 390 following behind.

2. The Polar Express at speed northbound at Wilkinson Rd north of Owosso.

3. Passing the old elevator at Henderson.

4. The Polar Express and then the TSBY engine crossing 3rd St in Oakley.

5. Arriving at the Fairgrounds in Chesaning just north of Peet Rd.
