In this video I just wanted to touch on why I feel festivals are a scam. As an indie filmmaker, there are better avenues for us that have greater rewards.

Of course, if you can get into Sundance or something of that level, then it's obviously not a scam but majority of the smaller ones don't help us in the long haul.

What are your thoughts, have you won any film festivals? How was your experience? For me, hosting my own movie premiers has been very valuable and later this year, I'll be producing my first ever film festival for indie filmmakers like myself!
