Portchester Castle in the UK as a Prisoner of War Camp in the Napoleonic Period

Описание к видео Portchester Castle in the UK as a Prisoner of War Camp in the Napoleonic Period

Neil Marshall shows the initial outline image one of his local history painted scenes. The painting will require another 200 hours to reach the standard set for his work. This is the latest of 57 local scenes to the Gosport and Portsmouth area. All are set from unique viewpoints using a specialised technique to ensure accuracy.
The subject shows how Portchester Castle in Hampshire was repurposed as a prisoner of war camp in about 1810.
