ALL-PURPOSE HEALING SALVE

Great for Gardener’s hands, Dry heals and elbows, Chapped lips, boo boos, the diaper area, scaly scalp and skin etc. You can even use this salve on your pets (but not on cats, they’re super sensitive to citrus oils!) As a mom, I am constantly washing my hands, so this is the salve you want to sooth those ultra-dry cuticles or fingertips. And my daughter has extremely dry skin – you know the kind – so I will be using this on her as needed in those dry, patchy areas.

RECIPE
4oz glass jar
¼ cup organic, cold-pressed coconut oil
¼ cup organic olive oil
1 tbs organic beeswax pastilles
¼ tsp vitamin e oil (optional)
3 drops Lavender essential oil
2 drops Lemon essential oil
2 drops Tea Tree essential oil
2-3 drops Vitamin e oil (optional)

Combine coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, and vitamin e oil in a double-broiler or glass measuring cup. Heat using double-broiler (if using a glass measuring cup, submerge the bottom portion of the cup in the simmering water) and stir constantly until all ingredients are melted. Note: Beeswax needs a little extra time to melt, so keep stirring and think about Santa and Christmas.

In the meantime, add essential oils and remaining vitamin e oil to the 4oz glass jar.

Once the warming ingredients are fully incorporated (melted), add to the 4oz jar, pouring over the essential oils and vitamin e oil. Stir well, secure with an airtight lid, and allow to harden at room temperature.
