In the Apuan Alps in Tuscany, Paolo Carli's quarrymen are preparing to face a new mining season. But the past year was a very difficult one for the marble industry.
The economic crisis generated by Covid and a terribly harsh winter created numerous problems in managing the quarries.
Paolo deploys all his entrepreneurial resources and pushes his men and women to give their best. The reputation for Italian excellence is at stake, as well as the continuation of a centuries-old tradition and the very survival of a business upon which the economic well-being of the entire territory depends.

In this episode:
Paolo Carli, grappling with the production problems of the Russia quarry, decides to experiment with an innovative technique. Enrico and Michele welcome this novelty with skepticism, nevertheless they multiply their efforts to extract the material necessary for company orders; while at the Bresci quarry, Luca must deal with a block that is very difficult to cut.
At the Gioia quarry, the Antonioli brothers deal with a huge 1000-ton block that risks getting stuck in mid-fall, while at the Piastrone quarry, Mario has just managed to extract the block for Letizia, but an unexpected situation slows his plans
