Contract Law - Chapter 3: Consideration (Degree - Year 1)

Consideration has been called the ‘badge of enforceability’ in agreements. This is particularly important where the agreement involves a promise to act in a particular way in the future.

There are 5 characteristics of the concept of "consideration":-

(a) must move from the promisee;
(b) sufficient but not adequate;
(c) past consideration isn't good consideration;
(d) existing public duty isn't good consideration; and
(e) existing contractual duty isn't good consideration.
