Описание к видео Be thou my vision - Bob Chilcott | Iona Biggart, Soprano

As Lent, the season of self-reflection and penitence, draws to a close and we turn the corner to Passiontide, listen to Bob Chilcott's setting of the sixth-century Irish hymn, Be thou my vision.

Sung by Iona Biggart, a member of the Choir of St Andrew's, and accompanied by Shaun Yong, Choirmaster and Organist.

The Choir of St Andrew’s Zurich is a robed, SATB, volunteer choir. We sing the 10.30am Eucharist on Sundays from September to June as well as a monthly Choral Evensong. Choir practices are on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8.30pm during the choir season. The Choirmaster is always pleased to meet prospective singers throughout the year. Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Be all else but naught to me, save that thou art
Be thou my best thought, in the day and the night,
Both waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, be thou my true Word;
Be thou ever with me, and I with thee, Lord;
Be thou my great Father, and I thy true son;
Be thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.

Be thou, and thou only, the first in my heart;
O Sovereign of heaven, my treasure thou art;
O Sovereign of heaven, be thou my vision;
Be thou my vision, O Ruler of all.
