Tangled in a Web of Disappointment: Madame Web (2024) Movie Review

🕷️Heeeeeeeeeey~! 🕸️

WOULD Y'ALL BELIEVE I saw a tiktok today (no I didn't save it I was rushing to get ready for work this morning, but I found the article!) and he said that according to an interview the director said the spider women don't have proper origin stories:

"Well, I thought it would be a bit greedy to do four origin stories. That's not really fair, is it? I've got to share it. Come on. I mean, first and foremost, it's Madame Web, right? But I hope the exciting thing about it is, this is a tease. And I think the origin story of the girls, we're given, hopefully, a hint of the spirit of who they are. "

I get it's a lot but there's a way to do it and this isn't it.
I didn't plan to start off like that i just saw that this morning and I couldn't stop thinking about it. ANYWAY welcome to another episode and this time we're talking about, you guessed it, MADAME WEB, the tangled web of a movie that was released...in theaters...for the public to see...oh and we saw it.

I posted a poll on the community tab because I wasn't sure if I would have time to make episodes for everything I watched and I wasn't sure what you guys wanted me to talk about first. I watched Argylle, Madame Web and Out of Darkness. I posted the poll and at the beginning of the week it was tied between Argylle and Madame Web sooooOOOoooOoo that is what I did! You can check out the ARGYLLE episode if you'd like but for now let's talk about Madame Web.

This movie is extremely disappointing in a way that's actually really sad. I think there was a ton of potential here and I think there was a way they could have made this movie so much better. I'm going to be honest, I'm not familiar with Madame Web and I get the whole future and seeing potential but I wish they would have left so much out. Focus on a stronger foundation and then branch out with more films to tie it all together.

I think if you go in to this movie knowing it's bad and expecting it to be bad you MIGHT be able to have fun watching.
