In an industria city o Norteast China in 1990s,the steel mill worker Chen Guilin,after being laid off,set up a performance band that bustle in and out all wedding ceremonies,funerals,shop openings and things alike to maintain a living.His wife ran away with a rich bussiness man under the life pressure.Their daughter agreeed to live with the parent who could give her a piano.So began Chen's journey to manufacture a hand-made piano with his former working mates in an already shut down factory workshop.
