This is a series of 3 Youtube tutos about a method we developed to reconstruct functional connectivity from calcium time series.

Astrocytes form extended intercellular networks, but the specific organization of these astrocytic networks and the precise extent of their functional connectivity in different brain areas remain unclear. To unveil the functional architecture of astrocytic networks, we developed, a data-driven methodology, called AstroNet that uses two-photon calcium imaging to map temporal correlations in activation events among neighboring astro-cytes.

This Part I introduces the biological context.
