Casio G-Shock DW-5900 review and overview | New series Forgotten Gs!!!

Описание к видео Casio G-Shock DW-5900 review and overview | New series Forgotten Gs!!!

In this video I review and go over the Casio G-Shock DW-5900. This is the start of a new series called Forgotten Gs where I go and look back through Casio’s older G-Shock models and review ones that I think are hidden masterpieces that are not mentioned enough for how special they are. I start with my favorite G-Shock watch design, the DW-5900. I talk about its overall design and how it connects to the classic GW-5000 square G-Shock. I called out some of the design DNA like the somewhat octagon shaped basil, the little fins next to all the 4 buttons. The strap that looks similar to the original one just beefed up. I talk about it being released in 1992 and it was the 1st G-Shock with the cyclops gauges on the dial. I go over it’s more feature packed 3465 Module with complications of world time GMT, Stop watch, timer, and alarms. I talk about the way it wears on the wrist and it’s overall build quality. Another part that shines is the unique dial design with a 90s cyberpunk Neo Tokyo cross grid design that has a blade runner and Top Gun vibe that is both retro and modern in design. Overall this blend of unique design touches, but classic G-Shock design languages makes this a legendary forgotten G that needs to be more widely known by Casio and G-Shock enthusiasts.
