If you are starting an online business you will want to know if you should go with aliexpress or Alibaba for buying products to sell. This video will talk about the benefits and draw backs of each for starting a business in 2019.


Now if you are thinking of starting an online store then you may be wondering whether you should go with alibaba or aliexpress and i'm going to talk to you about the main differences between them and which one will be best for your type of business.

Okay so i have looked deeply into both of these options and basically depending on what you are selling and what your online store is you may want to choose one over the other.


So if you are doing dropshipping then you are going to want to go with aliexpress for sure, now the reasons for this include that aliexpress on almost all products ships one product at a time, where if you go with alibaba you usually have to order your products in bulk and then ship them out to your customers by yourself. Now things to keep in mind is if you are using aliexpress chances are you wont be able to use your own logo on your products you are selling. This is because they don't do custom orders. Now if you are dropshipping and you don't care too much about a logo or anything like that then aliexpress will be the way to go

However if you are using alibaba to order products, and this is what i do and i recommend, you will be able to get products much cheaper. So for example if a coffee mug on aliexpress is 12 dollars you can probably find the same coffee mug on alibaba for 5 dollars but the difference is that you have to buy 100 of them. So thats the biggest drawback is that most suppliers on alibaba will require you to make a minimum order size of whatever they choose. But the big plus side of going with alibaba is that you can get a much more customized product and you will be able to have special logos and packaging. So what I personally am doing is buying products from alibaba in bulk and then i am having a custom logo put on them and then put into nice packaging and then as soon as i get an order on my online store I can wrap it up and mail it off to the buyer.

Now if you are using shopify, sadly there is not really a plug in for dropshipping with alibaba however there are plugins for aliexpress that make dropshipping super easy, you just have to make sure you can trust your supplier. And that's why I don't do dropshipping. Because personally i would rather get ripped off and have a box never be delivered to me, rather than a customer that trusted me never get his package in the mail.
