Axelson 16" Lathe Makeover

Friend Don is make great progress on restoring the 16 inch Axelson lathe from my shop... Everything from needle gunning to repairing the handles is being do to this lathe and it looks GREAT! We are working on refitting a hib for the compound as it was hammered into place and it has taken a lot just to remove... Upon measuring and comparing with another Axelson 16 in my shop I have come to the conclusion that someone gorilla took a gib from something else and tried to make it work.. The gib was stuck in there, adjusting screw bent and mangled and compound locked up... We are refitting the gib properly now and it will soon be completely reassembled..
