PTI has refused to participate in the meeting of the special parliamentary committee | Breaking News

The meeting of the Parliament's special committee is scheduled for today.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has refused to participate in the meeting of the special parliamentary committee.

Additionally, a summary has been sent to the President to convene the National Assembly and Senate sessions on October 17 regarding the 26th constitutional amendment.

Meanwhile, an agreement has been reached between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on the draft of the 26th constitutional amendment.

A meeting was held at Bilawal House Karachi between Bilawal Bhutto and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, with leaders from both parties attending. The meeting lasted several hours.

Later, during a joint press conference, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the two parties have reached an agreement on the draft of the constitutional amendment, with Bilawal Bhutto playing a key role in achieving this consensus.

He added that they would seek Nawaz Sharif's agreement as well, and aim for such consensus on the bill that it becomes a unanimous constitutional amendment. He emphasized that serious discussions were held with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
