Webinar: Creating engaging and magical interactions with social robots

This webinar features world-renowned tech magician & Furhateer Charlie Caper, on his experiences building (literally) magical interactions with robots. Charlie shares tips and tricks around character design, dialogue design, and the art of storytelling, in order to create memorable and effective conversations with robots.

Charlie is a robot interaction designer, who started as a game developer and then spent almost two decades as a travelling magician, copywriter and high tech performer. (A strange fragment of his career is winning Sweden’s Got Talent). He has created and produced award-winning shows featuring robots and worked very closely with the Furhat social robots and conversational platform. These robots were put on stage in front of thousands of people around the world, collecting very unique knowledge and insight on how to create engaging and inspiring interactions with robots.

The session is moderated by Susanna Dillenbeck, Furhat’s Partnerships Manager, who also shares stories on how social robots are being used today, beyond traditional applications of voice assistants.

Charlie & Susanna collaborate to also present a demonstration of the Furhat robot, live in front of the camera.
