While we were taking a dog out of a public shelter, we saw Arthur, a frail, elderly, thin, nearly blind who appeared to be given up. He couldn’t lift his head, his eyes almost glazed over. His owner got rid of him after he became old and not playful, just to adopt a new little puppy.
