Grand Canyon Railway Diesel Locomotives

Описание к видео Grand Canyon Railway Diesel Locomotives

In Northern Arizona, the Grand Canyon Railway takes passengers on a 64 mile long journey from the town of Williams to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The railroad has an interesting mix of passenger diesels on its roster. The primary workhorses of the fleet are five F40PH locomotives built by EMD in the 1970s and 80s. Grand Canyon Railway also has 5 Alco FPA-4 and FPB-4 locomotives that were used regularly up until 2009 and now are only occasionally seen in service. Let’s take a look at the Grand Canyon Railway’s fleet of passenger diesel locomotives in action as the pull tourists to and from the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
