BBC Choral Evensong: Worcester Cathedral 1991 (Hunt)

A BBC Choral Evensong broadcast from Worcester Cathedral on the 6 November 1991 with the choir directed by Donald Hunt. The broadcast is notable as it features the Preces & Responses by Samuel Sebastian Wesley, which are in fact are a pastiche 'composed' by Hunt using extracts from the lesser known works of Wesley. You will notice the Lord's Prayer is intoned as Hunt did not produce a full choral setting - perhaps he thought this a pastiche too far!?

The Wesley responses have been broadcast twice with the other, not surprisingly, from Hereford under Roy Massey in 1996. For this broadcast Massey wanted to include a choral setting of the Lord's Prayer and took up the offer from a choristers mother to 'compose' a version, again using lesser known bits of Wesley! I will upload this in the near future.
