India’s heart beats proudly through its cultural cornucopia, but we can all agree that its soul rumbles through its stomach. Nothing is more important to us as a people than the food we eat. We LOVE our food. It carries years of tradition, heritage, history and yet even in its diversity it brings us together through shared experiences as we sit around a table, beside a chulha, or on a desk with a dabba.

But is there such a thing as all encompassing as ‘Indian Food”? Today we go a step further to discover what Modern Indian cuisine really is. I’m thrilled to have Chef Manish Mehrotra on The India Edit, who has proudly presented India on a plate to the world, and he does so with a bit of an accent.
