Drivers All Over the Bike Lane on Park Blvd

We're on Park Blvd just north of University, a couple of drivers pulling into the bike lane behind us, followed by drivers backed up too far, then a USPS truck, then an Amazon driver putting the truck in the lane even though the curb is wide open, followed by another driver in front of new housing just north of ECB.

A section between Lincoln and Polk is closed, hopefully for re-striping, so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully they make space for deliveries and parking that doesn't interfere with people on bikes.

These videos can be scary, but please know that my goal isn't to deter people from riding bikes in San Diego, but to show the real-world conditions. Sometimes it's pleasant, sometimes it's just fine, and other times there's tension and conflict.

The roads in San Diego should be safe and accessible to everyone without the use of a car. My hope is that these videos help those in power make better decisions for all our safety. I also believe that the more people who decide to ride, the safer the roads will become.
