Thousands of Pelicans Breeding in Lake Brewster

30,000 pelicans are currently breeding in Lake Brewster, Australia. The entire area is currently soaked in rain, which is ideal for these birds. Pelicans are known to mate for life, so this breeding season should result in many new families being formed.

The water level in the lake is currently high enough that the pelicans should have no trouble finding food. This is good news for the local ecosystem, as pelicans are known to help keep populations of fish and other aquatic creatures in check.
